Sigh... What was I thinking!!

Ezra had been coughing with no other symptoms for almost 3 weeks. His cough would come periodically, when he coughs, he would cough for a couple of seconds n sometimes make that vomiting sound!! It is bad in the night when he sleeps. But other than that, he is eating ok, playing ok and as cheeky as ever.

1st, we brought him to chinese doc, took powder but no improvement. Week 2 went to GP, lungs cleared, throat cleared so he was just given cough syrup. Wk 3, Jac (thank God for the wisdom God gave him) insist that we shld bring him to Dr Tan our PD. So appt was fixed at 3pm yesterday, even on our way, I was thinking whether the visit is needed cos he is just coughing. But again Jac insisted.

At the clinic, Dr Tan listened to his lungs & said it was very congested, full of phlegm!! He has bronchitis but with the prolonged cough it could have been bateria infection than just verus !! I was shocked beyond words. She suspected mycoplasma and started him on 4 days antibiotic. I asked how can it be as he is perfectly well except the cough. She mentioned abt mycoplasma, walking pneumonia where the child is well, walking ard but having pneumonia!!

I felt so terrible, how can I have missed it, how can I have dismissed his cough & think nothing of it!! I cant imgine how much more suffering Ezra wld be taking if I did not bring him to PD & proper medi given!!

Viv, don't be too hard on yourself. This infection could have just started on the 3rd week which you then brought him to see his PD.

With the antibiotic, Ezra would feel better after the 2nd dosage! Really, take heart and peace to you , my sis :)

Jesus Heals! Amen!!

Vince was also like that last month. He will only cough with phelgmy sound whenever he cries and runs. I fed him his usual left-over cough medication and brought to see doc who topped up one shot of nebuliser and antibiotics. I also just know this kind of wheezing cough is not to ignore lightly. Meanwhile I have cut down cold drinks and chocolate stuff for him.

But now that it is diagnosed, just continue with the proper treatment and he will be okay.

Meanwhile, you must take good care of yourself too.

oh dear..Viv..I totally understand how your feel..it happen to me before last year when Cherrlyn's gp said her lungs are clear on 1 day and next day when i brought her to ped..her upper respiratory is infected..down with bronchitits..

It is not your fault and dont take too hard..

Too share with you..Cherrlyn is still on using puff to control her cough + chinese lung medi to control her situation otherwise her daily routine is quite disturbed..

She has very sensitive airway so much so that I can predict when is her next cough coming up

Nowadays our envirnoment is getting polluted and have to take care of our child health..not like our time where we hardly heard of bronchitics..

Praise God for Jac's wisdom. With the antibiotics, the mycoplasma infection should be under control. Don't be so hard on yourself, cos mycoplasma wouldn't be diagnosed earlier on either.

It's when a cough is prolonged, with bronchitis etc that the doc would suspect mycoplasma. Just FYI, Faith was hospitalised for pneumonia caused by BOTH mycoplasma and staph aureus. And it took Faith over two weeks of on-off fever plus my insistence on an x-ray before they realised she was at early stage of pneumonia.

Hi Viv, Baby G oso had bronchitis.. he was on the neb too to clear his lungs. Don't worry... as long as Ezra takes his medication... he'll recover in no time.
Don't be too harsh on yourself.

Hi
lexapro for sale
Take a note that you should not buy this drug from any of the vendors outside of the United States.
lexapro sale
It’s necessary for you to take at least 2 weeks of break before you start relying on Lexapro and after you quite MAOI intake.

Most significantly, you should conduct a regular checkup if you’re into Lexapro medication because since it’s an antidepressant you’re likely to develop suicidal thoughts, especially if you had not yet crossed 23.

This is my online journal of things, events, happenings in my life. This will also be a online inheritance I leave for my dearest hubby Jacky & lovely son, Ezra.
