The Weekend...

It has been a while since we cooked Jap food so finally after much delays, our kitchen is ready for sushi!! We prepared sushi, salted beans, pan fried salmon.

Looks good? He had quite a few pcs of salmon as well! We had most of the sushi while Ezra only had 2 pcs!!
Ezra loves the beans & had fun trying to pop it out!! ! We were so full after dinner and decided to take the MRT to Compass Point since its not a place we go often. Ezra was very excited & kept asking when is the MRT station. We walked to the 1st carriage hoping to take the spot where it has a window but it was taken. Ezra was such a good boy through out the ride, sitting there and just looking ard & listening on to everything going on in the train. A funny thing happened, he was constantly asking me "Mummy, press the bell, press the bell." I had to explain to him, unlike the bus, the MRT will stop at every station. The red button was for emergency only!

At Compass Point, with no agenda, we simply walked ard, bought a few pcs of Thomas the train set tracks to add on his current set. We also bought things for Sunday school class and snacks for our late night movie! hehehe...

On our way home, Ezra wanted to walk up the flight of steps. It was a pretty long flight, somewhere in the middle, he gave that "What! still not there yet!!" look. At 3/4 way, he looked shocked to see more steps!! When he finally reached the top, he dropped his shoulders and shouted "I am tired!" It was so funny looking at him!!

It may be a short trip out, but we enjoyed every moment of the time spent with our son!

Jac bought the dvd of a chinese movie "Red Cliff" It was a movie abt ministers trying to conquer lands to expand their kingdoms. During the movie, Jac had to give me a mini lecture of whats going on!! We watched both the disc till abt 3am!! It was a good show & I cant remember when we last do such but it was an enjoyable time spent alone with Jac.

We thought that we will sleep in late on Sat morning but NOT we woke up early and went for breakfast with Yeye & Nainai. In the afternoon, we attended our 2nd session of Parenting with Confidence by Focus on the Family. It was a pretty good course with much practical tips!!

In the evening, we had yet another yummy dinner. It was basil chicken tigh, mini potato with bacon & onion, salad, garlic bread & celery soup!! Ezra really enjoyed the dinner & look at how he bite into the drum stick!!
Sunday is reserved for church & we just got home & our dinner of Bak Gu Teh is cooking in the kitchen as I write this post!! Will try to take some pictures of it & post later.

Ok we had our dinner... its good!! I added pork ribs, bean curd skin, tau po, black fungus, button mushroom, veg & mee suah!! But next time, I have to add more water cos the soup was too little. It's a very nutritious 1 dish meal!! Ezra liked the soup & had 2 bowls!!

Hey Viv!

So nice to read abt your days :) Your sushi is a must-try lah, did you eat with wasabi too?

My heart missed a beat reading you guys visiting Compass Pt., that was our "di4-pan2" ok, and to think that you came that close!

The late-nite movie!! Your hubby is SO like my hubby, lol! He oso have to gave a little "lecture" on the history of the history! :P Just like you guys, we enjoyed the show(with snacks!) and the couple-time too :) We used 3 nites to finish the 2 DVD tho' and the latest was 2am only :P

Can I say it again... You.Are.A.Good.Cook! Can be Jap yesterday, western today and eastern tomorrow! Jac and little Ezra are so blessed!

Finally... I super-like Ezra's smiley face in that "pop-the-bean" pic, he is soooooooooooo adorable and his cheeky face is so infectious!!

BTW the food is really spread over 3 nites & not in 1 setting!!

Sandra, there was a time Ezra dont fanyc his veg but I constantly tell him when he poo "oh your popo is very hard cos you are not eating enough veg & the feeling to forced your popo out is painful rite! Next time must eat more veg!"

Now he is able to tell me when he eats his veg that he needs to eat so his popo is not hard! It works!!

Haha ya if you see us jalan jalan in compass point, do say hi ok!!

I used the 'poo' method to coax RR to eat veg too!

If she poos, she gets ice cream.. so, to eat the ice cream , she has to eat green veg in order to poo...
see the reasoning?

So teh next time we have a meal together, dun be shocked when RR talk about poo when she see veg.
