Bento # 3

Since I am home today, I shld try my hands again on bento. The last thai rice did not hold as well so this time I got Jap short grain rice. Cook it in microwave but the results not as tasty. Just checked with Angie if there is seasoning required.

Again copied Meekfreek's cute piggy egg...
Here is the menu... 1) pan-fried Salmon 2) pork balls 3) Jap beans 4) cherry tomato 5) plain rice
Ezra is excited abt his lunch & all ready to EAT!!

NICE! I'm going to bake salmon soon! Used to make salmon and bring it to school for lunch. :)

Very creative..I really like the way you design your bento..the joy of Ezra enjoying is the best part satifying..

Oh yes..as for the jap rice..you may consider putting rice vinger or premix sushi powder to make it like the rice from jap resturant..

Viv,
Google for "onigiri recipe" and you will be able to get ideas on how to season the rice on your own.

Thanks for dropping by my kids' blog :) Wow! This only your 3rd bento and I am impressed :)

For the rice, you actually don't have to buy Japanese rice, what I did was put a littlt more water than usual to cook the rice and it will be sticky enough to mould it. Hope you don't find me kapoh :)
