I'm eyeing a new lens. Nikkor AF-S 24-70mm F2.8. Do I need it?
wah mf! nikkor lens very exp. if you really wanna spend that spare cash, by all means you wont regret it. otherwise...3rd party like tamron oso can. usually the price oso abt half.
your D90 is not full frame dont get the 24-70...get either 17-50mm f2.8 from nikkon or tamron (which is what i'm using now also).

Yes, you are right, not full frame...so it will end up being 36-105? Thanks, will look into the 17-50mm f2.8...although I didn't see it on the Nikon website...
My current kit lense is 18-105mm f3.5-5.6 equiv to 27-157mm on FX. It's got the VR (anti-vibration) thingy...not that I've really noticed to be honest.
mf, vr is good when you need to shoot at 105mm and in a dim conditions (eg. Iz performing in school ) esp so if you cant use flash or its ineffective.
Allow you to lower the shutter speed to allow more light so your picture won't be so dark.

I like to bake muffins too..btw, where do you get the muffin cups? PH sell them but in hundreds, not sure if can get smaller quantity.
And the photo-shoot looks very professional..Kudos to yr hubby.

hey astee, i buy from PH, ya its in the hundreds so can use for long long time. I use the normal ones with muffin trays but PH has the really cups kind that can stand on its own.. very good if dont have mufin trays.
